Adee Kaye Mechanical See-Thru Skeleton Watch Model AK-4005(Gold Tone) Oct 18, 2007
By Orla A. Nickell We were absolutely thrilled with this watch. It's gorgeous!! My husband has people stop him all the time to ask about it. It was an anniversary present he will always treasure. Exactly as described, better than the picture even. Shipped very fast too! I would definitely buy from this seller again!

most beautiful watch i have ever seen Aug 29, 2008
By K. O'Hara Disregard the review by M. Alsayegh. This is a mechanical watch, and you will have to wind it periodically. Know that before you purchase it.
That said, I am glad it is mechanical and completely skeleton. I get to watch the near perpetual motion machine at work. I will never be bored again. And the watch strap matches it perfectly.
I cannot stress this enough. This watch is BEAUTIFUL!

Adee Kaye is not a reputable brand Dec 03, 2009

"Goodfella"
Does the watch look great, yes. If that's all you care about fine. The watch keeps terrible time, losing several minutes a day. It's made in China so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Also, the suggested retail price for this watch is laughable. It's not worth more than $50 even if you're just buying it for looks. Bottom line, just know that you're not buying a high quality timepiece.

Looks great, works pretty well..so far. Aug 31, 2010
By James B. This is just about the most stunning watch I have ever seen. I have about 20 watches ranging from $50 to $600 and this one looks the best, by far. So far it is keeping time well, not great but OK during the day(about 8 hrs is the longest I have had it on). Its is made in China so I didnt expect it to keep great time. I got this watch for its looks only. The 4 on the face is IIII not IV, but I have seen this on other watches and I know that its means IV (4), so I dont care, tho others may. Why some watches do this I have no idea, my Adriatica has the IIII also and its Swiss made. All in all I am happy with the watch so far, as will you if you understand you are not getting a precision Swiss time piece, just a stunning looking watch that keeps pretty good but not great time.
Full Review of The "Adee Kaye AK4005-MG" Dec 20, 2010
By fryser Hi there, this is my review for the "Adee Kaye Beverly Hills - Gold AK4005-MG", English is not my first language, so try to make the better of it.
First Impression: I received my watch about 2 months ago, I was really exited! I couldn't wait to come home and try it. Back at my place, I open the box, and saw that beautiful wooden box.... manuals... (Blablabla... it's a watch not a nuclear reactor). Then I opened the box.. WOW! Stunning! I always wanted a skeleton watch and there it is. A beauty! I quickly cranked it up... and I could see the wheel turn... AWESOME!
Look: The look of the watch is breathtaking. The golden plated body catches the eye automatically like a magnet. Then the look concentrates on the craving inside the watch that reflects the light and gives the watch an aspect of saturation of details that is completed with all the apparent gears. The big tic-tac wheel (for a lack of better word) gives the watch life and movement, you can see it in action about 2 half-revolution per seconds. (It goes back the fourth) I have it for now 2 months and I already had 3 comments on it, a guy actually stopped me, and asked me where I got this watch!
Sound: It's... kind of loud, a little too loud for my tastes. It's for my part the only drawback. I like silence, when I work, study or just listen to music, I don't like to be disturb, and that watch can easily break my concentration. It's not REALLY loud but just enough when it's really quiet of get on your nerve. I had to take it out and put it on my pocket to concentrate for exams more than once. At home, I thank god for the wooden box, where I can hide it. Would I still buy this watch if I knew? Totally. Accuracy: About 5-7 minutes late every 2 weeks. Witch for my part is acceptable; I guess it depends for everyone, but I like to think that a MECHANICAL watch that is working 24/24 doesn't have to be that precise. It's not a big deal for me.
Material and Quality: it's stainless steel of course... I'm not that rich. Do I care... Hell No! The precision of the parts is stunning; again I'm not a big "connaisseur" of watches so I can't judge of the quality of it, but I guess that by itself tells that is not obviously cheap. The leather bracelet looks like new even 2 months after. There's a TYPO on the front label and reads: "ADEE KAYE - BEVBERLY HILLS" Yeah... I know it's ridiculous but it's close to impossible to see it without staring at it for a long time, so I don't care anymore.
Everyday use: You have to take care of it like a little baby that's for sure. Crank it every day. One full crank takes 10 seconds and last about 25-28 hours maybe more... didn't really verify that. I try to not get it wet, it says 30 meters, but I won't try lol. Pros: Beautiful, eyes catcher for everyone, not expensive. Cons: Loud
Warranty: The first watch a received was defective the second day I used it. The big tic-tac wheel was robbing on something (I could hear it) and slow down the watch until it stops after 2-3 hours. Really disappointing! But then, I contacted "DiscountWatchs" by email and like 10 minutes later, a gentlemen called on my cell phone with an AMAZING support. No ****ing around. Straight to the point. He preordered the replacement and tested it himself for 3 days. It took about 2 weeks and I had my new working watch. Check the date of this post if it breaks down I will make another review.
Conclusion: It's a "WOW" watch, if you're looking for that old Victorian, steampunk, classical, stylish, watch... well you found it. Will it break down 6 after month... I hope not.
