| | Description | The Bulova Story: In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch. | |

Excellent watch at such low price Mar 28, 2012
By Soham The watch is excellent in finish and style..because the bracelet is made of titanium its very light too..Its neither big nor too small and it fits me to perfection..if you are a Bulova fan and looking for a great watch at affordable price this watch is the best bet.
These men's watch. May 01, 2012
By Shamil These men's watch. What I was looking for. Titanium housing, quartz movement, Arabic numerals, white background, black arrow, mineral glass. Great bracelet, even had to remove one link, and my hand is great. On hand look nice. I'm glad I bought them.
An Elegant. Refined. Crisp. Watch. Mar 21, 2012
By Ducklivers I paid... $135! Very nice Amazon. But even at the street price of $200 it's worth it. The dial face is in a word, elegant. East to read for any set of eyes - great contrast of the black numbers and white dial face. Nice heft to it. Strong clasp. Yeah, I love it.
Attractive, lightweight, dual-time watch Feb 12, 2012
By Matthew Chalmers This is my third Bulova brand watch. My first was a "Caravelle" by Bulova (model 42A57 I believe) which I didn't like very much. I ordered it from a catalog photo and it turned out to be too small for my liking, and felt & looked kind of "cheap" in person. My second was from the Adventurer collection (Bulova Adventurer Men's Quartz Watch 96B137), which I love and highly recommend.
I've only had one other metal/bracelet watch in my life, the Pulsar Men's PF3183 Tech Gear Flight Computer Watch. That watch is very heavy compared to this titanium Bulova. I love the fact that this watch is so lightweight for a metal watch. I love the high contrast face too, and the touch of red goes well with the black. I used to do a lot of work that required me to know GMT/UTC so the inset dual-time dial is kind of nostalgic for me. It's a little confusing at first because you tend to look at the large-numeral hour it's pointing to rather than the small-numeral hour on the inner dial.
My only complaints are minor: First, I wish it had tachymeter markings instead of, or in addition to, minute/second markings which are less useful--it could easily have both if one set was etched onto the metal bezel. Next, only the hour and minute hands are luminous, so you can't see the GMT hour in the dark, or know for sure where 12 is (of course they aren't tritium so they only glow for a few minutes anyway, but that does make the watch less expensive). Next, the date window is very small--it may have been easier to read if the date was white on black instead of black on white like the rest of the watch face. Next, the 10 and 11 are smaller than all the other numerals, which looks a little weird at first. Next, I'm not sure why the 18 is red; the 12 and 24 kind of make sense I guess, but the 18 should probably have been left black. Next, I kind of think the second hand should have been red, or had a red tip, instead of being all black. Last, the green marks between each hour puzzle me a bit--they're green, but not luminous; and they mark half-hour points, which is a little strange.
Also, as another reviewer pointed out, this watch is tricky to set. So if you travel a lot and intend to set either the time or GMT dial of this watch wherever you go, you'll need to familiarize yourself with the instructions and have patience. It's rather easy to accidentally get the date shifted by half a day, and/or the hour shifted by half an hour.
Great watch, love it! Jan 22, 2012
By rcjpmp I was looking for a white faced watch that could be worn for every occasion. This was the second watch I ordered from Amazon this month (returned the other one as it was too flashy and large). This watch was perfect. I love everything about it, it fits perfect looks good and is sleek and classy. Really pleased with my purchase.
