Just what I need! Changed in home conditions. Sep 09, 2010

I have been using G-shock g2900 for 5 years. Never failed. Very durable and reliable watch. But immensely extreme temperature experiment killed my watch strap. I was already looking for new more expensive watch, when I accidentally met this replacement strap on amazon. After hesitating I ordered. New G-shock g2900 costs 50$ approximately and the replacement strap is 17$. So price is OK. Had some troubles with installation, but those were because of lack of experience. Everything is done within 20 minutes on my computer work desk. Now everything works as the watch is out of box.

After breaking the original strap holder loop, my other half had taken to holding the strap tail down with electrical tape. In NZ a genuine replacement was $NZ65, this worked out at NZ$23 excellent value.
The strap is fantastic and we had no trouble fitting the strap. :)

It's a perfect factory replacement watchband for the one I wore out on two deployments. It cost relatively little, much cheaper than a new watch, and it got here faster than estimated. Highly recommended. There are exactly two things that would have made me even happier with this purchase: an instruction sheet, and replacement hinge pins. Note you DO NOT have to take out the screws in the corners of the watch case to remove the old band or insert the new one; just insert the flat of a thin screwdriver blade between the band and the hinge and use it to compress the spring-loaded hinge pin; note that this can be accomplished because each hinge pin has a pair of concentric protrusions at each end, giving you something you can gain purchase on with the screwdriver blade. Once you've compressed the pin to the point that one end is free of its socket, wiggle it free of the case and pull the other end free of its socket and the band comes right off. You'll have to re-use your old hinge pins unless you find new ones somewhere else, so don't throw them away. Place a hinge pin through the channel at the end of one band, then hold the band level while you maneuver a pin-socket onto one end of the hinge pin (the channel in the bands are somewhat loose, and if tilted the pin will fall right out - unless you're lucky, you'll then need to get down on your hands and knees and look for it, which would be a real pain on shag carpet). I found it much easier to compress the hinge pin for re-insertion with my thumbnail; it kept skittering off my small screwdriver. Once compressed enough to be re-inserted in the case, seat the ends of the hinge pin in their sockets within the case and give them a bit of a tug to ensure they're properly seated.

perfect match for the watch but casio makes it hard to replace it. use 2 mini screwdrivers to try to work the pins in the brackets because you get one side in and the other pops out. push down on the spring with the flat end of a mini flat screwdriver as you work it in.
