Best watch I've owned Dec 02, 2007
By C. Winton
"cwinton"
I discovered this watch a few years ago after going through any number of other types: digital, analog, databanks, you name it. This one has by far been the best of the lot. As a case in point, when the strap eventually wears out and breaks (after about 2 years), twice now I've shopped around and ended up getting another one of these since nothing better seems to have come out in the meantime; i.e., I'm now on my 3rd one. Why? Well, I've leaned to appreciate simpler functionality. What I determined I like and actually use in a watch are large digits, thin package, current date, back light, a timer, and a wake-up alarm and no more. I have a perfectly capable PDA for more complex functionality. That's exactly what this watch provides, as do a precious few others. However this one does so really well and at a budget price to boot. First of all it is really thin and comfortable to wear, a huge factor. I got awfully tired of the big clunky watches that represent most of the market. Second, the digits are large enough that I can read them at night with the backlight even when I don't have my glasses on. Third, it is really easy to reset. Others complain of doing this by accident, but that has not been my experience. When I fly to another time zone, I've always reset my watch for the new time zone as soon as we're in the air ... it's trivial with this one, but for others requires punching a recessed button with a pen or something even more difficult on a bouncing plane. The alarm is effective enough to rouse me when I'm traveling, and the ease of setting it provides real confidence I've done so correctly (something I've been burned on more than once with unfamiliar alarm devices such as those provided in hotels). The timer is a bit of icing, but I find I use it surprisingly often. I might also note that the product is tough. I do a lot of stuff with my hands and have knocked it around and dirtied it up more than I care to admit, but a quick rinse generally returns it to acceptable appearance again. If you're like me and want a stylish, thin, and fairly basic digital watch, I think you will find there isn't a better one than this on the market at the present time.

Looks nice, but... Dec 03, 2004
By Dane McGregor I bought this because it looked nice and was priced nice. However, it has one major flaw which drives me crazy-- the buttons on the side are *very* easy to push in, so much so that I am constantly bumping into them and changing the mode, time/date screen, etc. It'll do for now, but I'll get another kind of watch when this one goes.

great watch - if it held together Nov 12, 2008
By Chip i've owned 2 of these. both broke where the band joins the watch body and are unrepairable. loved the low profile, big numbers and illuminator, but got tired of them breaking.

Nice slim watch Feb 09, 2008
By redvsblue21 This watch has a nice look to it; you can ware it in the shower; is very durable; built in stop watch; Is about a half a centimeter at its thickest point; I can wear it under gloves; sometimes I forget I'm even wearing it. It's so comfortable. I would recomend this watch to anyone who doesn't like wearing one.

Better than I expected, for the pice range!! Jul 15, 2011
By Danny C. Harmon A very good wstch, for the pice. The only problem is that it's dating, it does day and month but not year, which means that every month, it goes to 31 days so in months that dont, 28-30, you have to adjust it your watches date accordinly, yourself. But this is a minor problem. The watch has a large faqce and great light making it easy to see day & night. With the hours I work this is no small thing.
