Dependable daily wear watch Jan 19, 2009
By K. Paris I bought this watch to replace a Seiko automatic dive watch.
I wanted a watch that I could wear every day and take diving. Also, I did not want a watch with a battery that would need replacing periodicaly.
My Seiko was never able to keep time more accurately than +/- 45 seconds per day. This watch has been accurate to the second for about two months now, with one unexplained loss of 1 1/2 hours that was probably my fault.
The watch looks great, feels very solid and has everything I want from a daily use/dive watch except a day of the week indicator (the one thing my Seiko had that this watch does not).
All in all, I am very happy with this watch, especially it's accuracy.
Update:
I've now had this watch for about 6 months, and it's been consistently accurate and has held up very well with daily use.

Beautiful but very scratchable. Apr 01, 2008
By Flipangle I received this watch today. It's as beautiful as in the picture. The face is just the perfect size and the thickness of the watch is relatively thin for a dive watch. I have a very small wrist and the watch wears beautifully. The indicators are very bright in the dark. The time and date are very easy to set. The screw in crown is great if you want to go scuba diving with it. That's why it's water resistant to 300 meters! One word of caution though...while the band is beautiful with black contrasting with the stainless steel, what the description doesn't tell you is that the black portion of the band is PVD (not rubber). When the watched arrived there were two links in the band that had major scratches/scuff marks! I did a little reading on PVD afterwards. I guess PVD scratches like crazy.
I was disappointed that I ordered a new watch and in no way did this watch look new when it arrived. The box was kind of crumpled, there were the scratches, and there was no plastic covering the dial. I've ordered tons of stuff from Amazon before and this is only the second time I've had problems. Fortunately, Amazon's return process if painless.
4/2/08 One correction. I think the black portion of the band is actually rubberized (rubber covered metal), not PVD.
Great Watch Nov 18, 2011
By Keith E. Schare I've had this watch for approx. one year and the time has been accurate the entire time. The watch is beautiful. I have worn it quite regularly and I don't have a single scratch on the glass. I highly recommend this watch.
Best quality for price, period Feb 28, 2011

This watch is the best quality you are going to find at this price point. The face, lume, and bracelet are better than watches in the $1200 range. The hybrid rubber/stainless band is the perfect blend of sport and dress - this watch can litterally be worn at any occasion.
I must state that I am perplexed by the idiots who have posted reviews here, and the idiots on other forums accross the web where I have read reviews of the bracelet: Let me set the record straight: THE STRAP IS STAINLESS AND RUBBER - AND THE RUBBER PORTION DOES NOT SCRATCH. REPEAT - It does not scratch or get blemished what-so-ever. The stainless will scratch, but the rubber will not. If someone tells you otherwise, they are lying, or work for Seiko.
