| | Description | Perfect for professional divers and avid swimmers alike, the Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Strap Diver Watch is both attractive and highly functional. This super water resistant watch withstands water depths up to 984 feet (300 M), so you can keep track of time on your deep-sea expeditions. Clear visual elements of the watch face include oversized, crisp white dot hour markers, large hour-and-minute hands, and an easy-to-read date window perched at the three o'clock. Continuing on the easily visible theme, the large bezel has a clean silver-tone background and a crisp black foreground of Arabic second indexes at 20, 30, 40, and 50 seconds, as well as stick second markers along the first quarter. This solar-powered Eco-Drive watch never needs a battery and remains charged for months at a time, even in the dark. The background of the watch face is a handsome black-and-gray waving pattern that complements the striated shape of the strong red-orange-tone rubber band. Other rugged features include a stainless steel case and bezel, fine mineral dial-window protection, and reliable Japanese-quartz movement. A handy buckle securely fastens the band of this must-have diver's timepiece. | |

Eco-Drive is the way to go Sep 26, 2010
By Harlequin When I purchased this watch about one month ago, there was only (1) customer review available. I hope by adding my own that it presents a better buying picture. I'll start by saying that I think if you are debating about purchasing this watch, don't....just buy it.
Dislikes: Strap is a rather thick rubber and therefore initially stiff. Also, it is in a fixed position at watch lug points and not free moving as perhaps we are more familiar. Finally, the strap is not easily replaceable, (Citizen only makes an orange strap to fit this watch) so...after market will be your only choice to switch it out & the lug configuration makes this difficult.
Likes: In spite of the strap issues, I've actually found the watch quite comfortable to wear, and it is light enough such that at times I forget I am wearing a watch.
It has a clean clear dial that is easy to read at a glance, and has just enough contast color on the dial to keep it interesting and not just another "black watch". The date aperture at the 3 position is adequate, and can be read easily enough. The Unidirectional Bezel turns smoothly as it should and includes the Lume Dot at the 12 position. If you are a Lume freak...well...you'll get your freak On with this watch. It has by far the best Lume I have ever seen on any watch I have ever owned (120 & growing). It requires little charge to Lume, and lasts an incredibly long time. Lumes a Beautiful Greenish/Blue BTW.
The operation of the Screw Down Crown is very smooth, and seats correctly so that you may feel safe in the water with its 300M water resistance Rating. Also....because it is quartz, and deadly accurate, you will not find the need to be adjusting the time set often.
Upon opening the watch package (BTW..Amazon shows wrong packaging in photos) I found the watch not running. Just a few hours of Natural Daylight had it up and running like a champ. It is easy to keep charged...just follow the instructions which are rather simple to follow.
All and all I like this watch, and I am sure that this is just the first of many Citizen Eco-Drive watches to come into my humble collection. This is a really Cool watch that works like a Dream and I'd buy it again without hesitation. I hope this helps you in your decision making process.
Purchased as a SCUBA diving watch. Jul 19, 2011
By Northportdiver Gentlemen.......this is a BIG watch!
So if you have a small wrist, this may not be the best choice.
The good:
- I purchased this watch for SCUBA diving and since it is rated to 300m, it hopefully will do the job.
- The watch is sporty but not elegant.
- For being so bulky, the watch is very light.
- It is nicely finished, appears as a high quality product and highly visible when glowing in the dark.
The bad:
- The orange band is not very comfortable, and will be very hard to find when it is time to replace it.
Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Jan 16, 2011
By Diver I have fallen in love with this product. I never knew much about eco-drive watches until I ran across this watch and learned more. When I received it in the mail it took about 2 hours to fully charge and has been a fantastic, durable watch ever since. Although I am a female, I did order the Men's version of this watch because I like the bigger face display and it's great. The band is a bit thick at first, but it's grown on me. The face is easy to read and glows in the dark. Great buy!

Big Winner Here Feb 11, 2010
By ScoobyDoo Citizen has always been known for quality and this watch is no exception. It's a little bulky but otherwise a very nice watch. You won't go wrong here.
