this watch is really nice. its clean, simple, and has a nice weight to it. in the picture its kinda hard to read the gold hash marks on the white background of the watch, but physically its really easy to read the time and date. one concern of mine was the the tin box it came in was dented on one side and taped up pretty sketchily. but the watch looks pristine and in great condition.

The color is a pearlized off white color, and the watch is very nice in appearance and feel. This is a grown man's watch, not something flashy or tacky - but classy and masculine. My girlfriend bought it for me, and she couldn't have been more spot on as far as my style goes. The only drawback is the band, which barely fits my wrist. It's on the second to last hole which is just a little too big, because the next tighter hole is a little too small. I'll probably get the band replaced at some point, preferably with something velcro (if there is a classy velcro band that fit's this watch). Overall though, I'm very happy with the appearance and quality of the watch, and if I were a regular sized human (I'm 6'3" and 270 pounds) there might not be a problem with the band. As it is, the watch/band are wearable - but slightly uncomfortable.
Pros:
grown man's watch
appropriate for a job interview/date/formal occasion
solid construction - feels durable
cons:
band is too small for big people

I got this watch as a Christmas gift from my wife. It is really a very nice looking watch. I think the picture is a little bit too grey. The face is a pearlized off-white color - not grey at all. The gold hands, notches and dials all really off-set the face and make for easy reading.
This is a large men's watch - as seems to be the style now. The face is 1.5" inside the bezel and almost 2" for the full width including the stem. It is approximately 3/8th of an inch thick. Some shirts may have an issue getting over a watch of this size.
Now for the band... my watch came with a metal clasp that had extremely sharp edges. After wearing if for a few hours the first day, it had already scrapped a layer of skin off and left a sore spot. I couldn't wear it after that. I bought a replacement band for $10 and am now happy with it.
Positives:
o Keeps good time
o Nice face with offsetting colors - making it easy to read
o All features and dials are functional
Negatives;
o Band - sharp edges
o No date
Overall - this is a nice watch. It is inexpensive in comparison to other Fossil watches, but be careful of the scratchy band.
