| | Description | About Seiko: In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Key milestones include Seiko's introduction of the world's first quartz watch in 1969, and its successful launch, in 1988, of the Kinetic, the world's first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and the World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to stand for state-of-the-art technology, as well as superior quality and refined design. | |

A good watch, but not a great watch Mar 28, 2011
By Chris J. This gold watch is handsome and as you would expect from Seiko, accurate. I imagine that it will tick for a very long time. The gold color on the stainless band is a very nice shade of gold, however I am concerned with how well it will wear. There are already a few parts of the band where the gold coloring has worn off. Theses are the areas that rub against my desk when I am typing. They showed up after only a week of wearing the watch and so I stopped wearing it while I type. These areas are quite small, but I don't want for them to get bigger. Overall, I am happy with this watch as an $80 watch. The band is "rolled" but still has a good feel to it. If you keep your expectations reasonable for $80, I can recommend this watch.

Watch Sep 15, 2011
By Jim Rogers Was looking for a low cost watch that had a dress look to it. Keeps very good time and looks great. Watch is thin and feels great. Love the clasp. Easy to lock and unlock but stays closed.
seiko watch Feb 27, 2012
By momma The watch arrived quickly and I seen the same exact watch for 220.00 at Littman jewerly's. My husband loves it.
NICE SIMPLE GOOD QUALITY SEIKO WATCH Dec 08, 2011

"DOWN 25%"
I bought this watch in July 2011 as a gift to take to the Philippines. The recipient really likes it and his friends admire the quality as there are a lot of knock-offs there. He wears it almost daily and it's working perfectly with no problems. He rides a motorcycle to and from work and they get 238 inches of rain per year, but the watch has no problem with that. Again, it is a nice simple watch, not showy but excellent quality.
Great alternative to expensive "man-style" watches Oct 29, 2011
By meltung This is a great buy for that oversized watch look. Since it is a men's watch I had to get the links removed for a better fit. But I love this way more than those Michael Kors watches. Ladies, get this watch.
