| | Description | About Seiko: In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Key milestones include Seiko's introduction of the world's first quartz watch in 1969, and its successful launch, in 1988, of the Kinetic, the world's first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and the World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to stand for state-of-the-art technology, as well as superior quality and refined design. | |

Awesome watch Jul 04, 2011
By Karen R Youngblood Beautiful. Such a great looking watch and excellent price. I have been looking a long time for one with roman numbers...there are two on this watch...they make it stand out and look expensive. The band is too big and I will need to take in and get adjusted, no biggie.

Nice dress watch Nov 13, 2011
By bluewater Great deal for a nice two-toned dress watch. Looks nice, medium sized face, and light weight. Also inexpensive so it can be an everyday watch. For this price you can have several watches instead of just one.

Very nice looking Nov 30, 2011
By M. Smith Watch is very nice looking, I got it for a gift for my FIL, I hope he likes it!
I was worried about the size being too big or the watch being too heavy, because that seems to be the style in men's watches these days, but the watch was neither too big or too heavy. I'm very pleased with the quality of this item.

"Mack"
I'd been searching for a Seiko to replace, as closely as possible, a sentimental model which had quit working, and which would fit into/onto a stainless steel clasp / bracelet that I bought as a teenager more than fifty years ago. Gave up on the solar-powered models, they are too thick. This one is almost perfect, except that the space between the lugs is one or two mm too long, but it fits on the bracelet. And, looks nice, almost like the 'original', and the price during Amazon's recent watch sale made it a no-brainer.
