Happy with this watch Apr 28, 2011
By Craig M Sharp, well made watch. Only problem is that the wrist band is either too tight or too loose. Took it to have a link removed, then had to have it put back. Maybe my wrist size is just the wrong size. On the flip side, not having to mess with batteries is another big plus. I would recommend this product.

A good as expected. Nov 28, 2011
By Medium Level Tech This watch was a replacement for a Seiko perptual calendar which repeatly needed to be repaired when I adjusted the time for daylight savings. This watch is beautiful.

Seiko solar watch Mar 11, 2011
By G. White

This watch is just what I had expected. It came in a nice box, with readable instructions. It doesn't take much light to keep it going, it is easy to read the day and the date, and it's not too hard to set. For the money, it seems to be a very good watch. I had to take it a jeweler to remove a couple of links in the band, but that wasn't really a surprise. Now we'll see how it holds up over time.

Returned...watch band extremely small Apr 27, 2012
By Leader of the Pack I purchased two men's Seiko watches through Amazon. This Seiko SNE047 Two-tone Solar Black Dial Watch has such a small band that even a very petite woman in my office could not wear it comfortably. I have an average size man's wrist and it does not even fit over my hand. Also, the watch band had black grease on it. It is advertised as new and the packaging appeared to be new but I question if the watch band is missing a couple of links and if it has been returned from a previous buyer. Local watch repair said it would not be worth the cost to replace the band or order the proper links to enlarge the band. The second Seiko watch in the same order will need two large links removed for a proper fit. I have worn and trusted the Seiko brand for years, I am so disappointed.

Beautiful, elegant watch, great technology. Dec 11, 2011
By alfadan I bought this watch about six months ago, set the time out of the box, and now has gained only ten seconds. Not bad at all. Looks much better on my wrist than the Amazon pic. I especially liked the idea of never having to buy batteries for it - ever.
All in all a five star watch but I am going to give it four stars because after a couple of weeks of wear, I see a small but irritating scratch on the crystal. I know it's my fault but I had hoped the Hardlex crystal Seiko advertises was just a little bit harder.
