| | Description | About Seiko: In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Key milestones include Seiko's introduction of the world's first quartz watch in 1969, and its successful launch, in 1988, of the Kinetic, the world's first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and the World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to stand for state-of-the-art technology, as well as superior quality and refined design. | |

good watch at a great price Nov 19, 2011
By David W. Kephart The watch is a tiny bit smaller than I expected, but that's fine since I have small wrists. It's great looking and very inexpensive for what it is. So far no complaints!

Small and functional Dec 07, 2011
By Misha Pros:
1. It is water resistant to 100 m (a fancy way of saying ok for swimming, a 30m water resistant watch is not ok for swimming) 2. It is a plus that it has metal band, without it water resistant feature would have no value. 3. The watch is smaller than most man watches today (but a few decades ago most watches where this size, so I do not see a reason to have a bigger and heavier watch than it needs to be). The size is certainly a plus for man whose wrists are smaller than average. 3. I like keeping the watch on when I run or swim, a bigger watch with a steel band would be unpleasantly heavy for sports, so small size keeps it light. 4. The watch works well for dress or casual or doing sports. 5. It has a touch of 1980s design which could be a positive or a negative but it is simple clean and kind of timeless.
Cons:
1. The window with the date is a bit smaller than I like it to be; the date is not as easy to see as on my previous watch but it is ok. 2. To adjust the size of the band you would probably need to bring a watch to a jewelry shop. It is not a major hassle, it can be adjusted in a few minutes and costs only a few dollars to adjust.
Great watch at a great price May 16, 2012
By rda I recently bought this watch, and after having a few links taken out, I love it. It is lightweight and doesn't cling to my wrist like other heavier watches do. Which is nice in the warmer months of the year.
The links can be difficult to remove, but there are videos online that show the process. I just took it to a jewelry store for $5 and had it sized since I don't have the proper tools. But back to the watch. The date window is a bit smaller than I'm used to, but I didn't buy it to be a calendar.
I love the shape of the face. I was tired of large round faces on a watch sticking out much farther than the edge of the band, so I was looking for a more rectangular or oval shaped face. It works very well with dress shirts, not getting caught on the cuff. Plus it is rated to 100M, so you can do some swimming without taking it off.
Small but nice Mar 22, 2012
By Ryan the watch guy This is a nice watch don't get me wrong...just the face is very small ...flat black so it's plain looking...band is strange as well...but worth the inexpensive price for a seiko

Purchased as a gift for Christmas. The recipient loves the watch; if anything the product was much better looking in person than what it looked like online and a tremendous savings over other vendors.
Ouick shipping.
