| | Description | About Seiko: 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Key milestones include Seiko's introduction of the world's first quartz watch in 1969, and its successful launch, in 1988, of the Kinetic, the world's first battery-free watch with quartz accuracy. Recognized for its technological excellence, Seiko has provided timekeeping services for the Olympic Games and the World Cup Soccer Championships. Today, the Seiko brand continues to stand for state-of-the-art technology, as well as superior quality and refined design. | |

NOT BAD Mar 29, 2012
By MJ NEL I purchased this watch and got it in record time. This is not an overly big watch but it is not small either. Sort of in between. The face is attractive and the watch is solid and fits well on my wrist. I dont have a very big wrist but I am sure it will fit well on guys with big wrists as well. The watch is easy to read in the dark. I have only had the watch for two days so cant comment on the accuracy but it seems pretty ok so far. The only thing I dont like (personal preferance) is that the watch is very 'silver'. I removed the stainless steel watch band (very nice band)and replaced it with a black 'rubber' dive strap. This looks much better to me but once again it is a personal preferance. My wife loves the watch with the original stainless steel band on. The watch looks more 'dressy' but I still prefer it with the rubber strap. Before I forget, the bezel turns very easily and this is a bit irritating to me. Personally I prefer the bezel to be a bit on the tight side. It is a good, solid and attractive watch and I would recommend it to any watch collector or even if you are just looking for a good sport/diving and even dress watch.
