Nice look, poor build Oct 07, 2011
By Greg in NYC Loved the weight, fit, and style of this piece, but after a few months the finish and crystal were visibly scratched. Two of the nubs fell out fairly early on. And as many of the reviewers have complained, the clasps were very difficult to move. I also lost this watch recently when the pins which had repeatedly slipped, finally gave out while exiting the subway and ending up on the tracks.

Fragile Crystal, Malfunctioning Crown Nov 21, 2010
By Chuck Scott

This is a good looking watch, I wish it was more reliable. I have 26+ year old Seiko watch that I wear every day and never had any problems with it. Worn my Seiko outside while working in the yard and a multitude of outside activities and have many little scratches on the crystal ... but it never broke. I have had the Skagen for a few months and already had two serious problems with it. I selected the Skagen from a long list of options to honor 25 years of service at my company because I thought my Seiko just might stop working. The crown on the first Skagen that they sent me didn't allow me to set the date, so I sent that one back. The second one I decided to wear on a vacation during which the crystal broke. This was a very easy vacation, driving to Utah & Arizona with short hikes, stayed in Hotels, nothing strenuous. Only thing I can figure is that the change in elevation created enough air pressure difference to bust the crystal (see other comments about Skagen Crystals). My advice is to buy a different brand. By the way the almost the only place that will fix the crystal and most other parts is Skagen Designs in Reno (for $33.95) -- that in itself should set off some alarms.

Attractive, light, simple Aug 09, 2010
By SuperSchtroumpf You get what you see with this watch. It is very light, shines nicely, and is fairly thin. Just the right size for my hand (I don't like large watches). The day of the month part always gets messed up - but I suspect that's just the way these analog watches are.
HAIR EATER BY RZ Sep 21, 2011
By RZ THIS WATCH IS A VERY GOOD LOOKING , BUT THAT IS WHERE IT ENDS.PUT IT ON AND IT PULLED THE HAIR OFF MY WRIST.THE LINKS ARE SO STIFF ,TO MOVE THEM THE FEAR, OF THEM BRAKING IS ALL I COULD THINK OFF ,THEM ONE OF THE PINS FELL OUT.I SET IT BACK THE SAME DAY...............RZ
Titanium Watch Feb 08, 2011
By Robin Z My bf loved it! It's a good watch. The only thing is, the links were VERY stiff at first, like a bangle bracelet. It took a couple weeks until they started to loosen up. It's fine now.
