Simple, Understated Elegance - well worth the price Sep 23, 2011

I get compliments on this watch ALL the time. I purchased it at a 50% off sale at the Skagen store in The Block at Orange in Orange, CA, and I rarely wear any other watch in my collection. It's simply stunning.
Lookswise, this watch is hard to beat. The rose gold plating against the black steel is striking and goes with almost any look. Also, the rose gold hands and markers stand out quite nicely against the flat black face. The carbon fiber is subtle but definitely noticible, and very well done. If the entire face was carbon fiber, it would make the watch gaudy, I think, so the small ring of carbon fiber around the edge is nice. There's also a slight rose-gold ring between the carbon fiber ring and the inner flat-black face, which is a nice touch.
The watch is quite rugged, and I would recommend it for every day wear in most cases, unless you work with your hands a lot. The band is a fine weaved metal mesh, so it does have the potential to catch on things and come unwoven. Also the clasp feels a bit cheap for a watch of this quality - the snapping clasp has a tendency to come loose.
Highly recommended at anything under $100.

Purchased last year, I initially saw it at a store so got to try it on and look at it. Then preceded to find the best price on the internet, which was on Amazon (by quite a bit). Works great, looks very nice. It is very slim and lightweight. I was looking for a non-leather band as well so this fit the bill perfectly.

This is a beautiful watch. It is also very fashionable. The watch is thin and lightweight with a large easy to read face. Rose colored face and hands contrast with dark face and band. This is my second Skagen watch and I am very pleased with the quality.

The face is really large, its great if your older and dont want to wear reading glasses to see the time. The fit is and finish are Skagen, slim and lightweight. The watch case color is unique (rose gold) but not same color as pictured seems a duller apperance and more gold colored,otherwise its OK, Skagen does have better looking watches for the same if not cheaper price,so for that its 3 stars.

I have 3 Skagen watches and love them all. When I received this watch I found that the watch "face" is so large is covers my entire wrist.....I am on the thin side so I had a friend try it on (a football player physique) and it was too large for him. It is being returned.........looks good, but is impractical if you don't even see the band showing on the upper part of your wrist. It is SO large that you could set it on a desk and you could tell the time from a good distance away......my other Skagen's are great, very thin and I really like the mesh bands.
