A mixed bag Aug 26, 2009 I bought this because I have had several other similar Timex watches that had all failed me, some being band failures (2), and some being failures of alarms to continue to work after batteries were changed (3). On average I have gotten about 15 months use out of them. This one looked sturdier because of the partial titanium band. Well, again I am having issues. After about 6 months, the small pin on the clasp that keeps the band from slipping, fell out. I improvised and managed (with difficulty) to screw in a smallish eye glass screw. Now it holds in its nylon hole, but the band comes off the screw. I have resorted to using a small piece of duct tape to hold the band together. Real sexy, let me tell you.
Why do I keep buying Timex watches? Because they seem to have the best combination of features, style, and compact form. One of the primary reasons I purchased this watch is to take advantage of the multiple alarms, and the ability to select which day(s) of the week it goes off. That is very helpful to someone who doesn't multitask well and needs a reminder of when to go pick up the kids.
I do like the way this watch feels, looks and functions. I am guessing I will have to replace the piece of duct tape holding it together about every 2 weeks. I guess I can live with that.
