Overall, I like Zodiac watches. I have a Dragon Wing quartz watch that has a Ronda movement, and it is super accurate--within about a second a month. The Oceanaire uses a movement that starts out as a Chinese movement that is shipped to Switzerland; enough work is done on the movement in Switzerland for it to quality as "Swiss Made." But it's Chinese in origin. The Oceanaire that I had gained about 20 - 30 seconds a day. Now, you could live with that, but if you got a COSC certified watch you would be guaranteed accuracy within -4/+6 seconds per day; the Omegas and Rolexes fill this bill, among others. But the Oceanaire is a beautiful watch . . . it's just that if you don't have a really big wrist, say about 8 inches in circumference, the Oceanaire will fit you like a wall clock strapped to your wrist. So, my three stars rating is given for these reasons: (1) lack of accuracy, (2) a Chinese movement masquerading as a Swiss movement (it may be legal, but it's not quite cricket, in my humble opinion) and (3) its bulk. I have found that a watch can be wide and still accommodate a number of different-sized wrists, but thickness is the hard thing to deal with: shirt sleeves catch on the watch, and the watch catches on doorways, etc. It's a striking watch, and you may very well enjoy it . . . just be prepared to set it every week or so!
